ABOUT IRONBARK

Small Studio, Big Impact
We’re Ironbark Video Productions — a small Perth-based video production studio with a big love for storytelling. Whether you’re a small biz, a time-poor agency, or a creative with big ideas and no camera, we’re your go-to team for cinematic content that actually hits. From brand stories to travel docos, we craft visuals with soul, style, and just the right amount of cheek.
What We Do
Brand Video
Your story, told with style.
Put your brand front and center with videos that speak your language and get results.
Content Creation
Short-form, long-form, for socials or your site, we shoot it, shape it, and make sure it slaps.
Travel & Tourism
From wild landscapes to vibrant cities, we craft destination stories that make people feel something.
Creative Video
Short films, music videos, docos, if it’s bold, cinematic, or a bit weird, we’re probably into it.
Corporate & Commercial
From boardrooms to billboards, we craft brand and business videos that get the job done, without putting people to sleep.

Daniel McDonald
Founder & Filmmaker
I’m Dan. I started Ironbark because I wanted to spend more time telling stories and making creative work that actually feels like something.
After years of working in video production and marketing, I hit a point where I knew I wanted to back myself and chase that feeling properly. I quit my job, took the leap, and built Ironbark as a way to put story and creativity back at the centre of what I do.
Ironbark is a one-man setup, but it’s not a solo mindset. I work closely with the people I’m filming, collaborating from the start and shaping ideas together. I’m pretty relaxed on set, happy to go with the flow, and comfortable when things shift — because they always do.
I’ve worked across brand videos, corporate projects, and creative pieces, but what really puts a fire in my belly is honest storytelling. The kind that feels human, grounded, and a little bit raw. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s connection.
Ironbark exists to make space for that — to tell stories clearly, creatively, and without overcomplicating things.
